Close to us

Lunch and Diner

• Polish comfort lunch: Kazik, best zapikanka’s (polish baguettes). Don’t come here and not try these.

• Korean: Seoul, Korean run lunch place. Kpop vibe.

• Turkish: Orontes west

• Ramen: Takumi Tonkotsu

• Lab 111, Alternative cinema. Good choice of movies, blockbusters and indie, not the boring kind. There is also a good restaurant in the building, Dr. Strangelove.

Centre

• Best real fries: Vlaams friteshuis Vlemincks, Doardi ice & fries

• Authentic Chinese: Sichuan Warmoesstraat (lots of vegan options)

• Albert Cuyp markt – Rudi’s

• Landskroon bakery

• Patiserrie Holtkamp 

Alternative bars

• Soundgarden, Old school alternative, big, outdoor patio by the canal.

• Checkpoint Charlie, medium size, boardgames, fun interior

• The minds, decades old dive bar where Nirvana used to hang out and QOTSA, among other legends. Get’s more fun late.

• The Cave, small metal bar with live music.
