Information that I need from you to make a tattoo appointment:
At this moment I am booking in tattoo appointments in blocks of 3 months.
At the end of each quarter I email the people on my list to let them know of available dates. If you want to be on that list, this is what you need to know:
Do you tattoo outside the Netherlands?
No, I only tattoo in my studio in Amsterdam. I do not do guest-spots anywhere, cause I feel most comfortable working in my own space.
Travelling for exhibitions or other work related trips are usually also my only holidays and
I would like to use them to relax a bit and have fun.

How long will it take for me to get my ordered prints and/or T-shirts?
Orders are send out once a week. For Europe and the Netherlands it takes about 2 to 4 days to get to you. For the rest of the world it takes between 10 to 14 days.
*Please note: On occasion packages can get stuck at customs, up to 8 weeks. Unfortunately this is completely out of my control.

Can you make me a custom tattoodesign without you tattooing me?
Can I use your paintings for my tattoo design?
I get a lot of requests like these, so consequently a lot of people are getting tattoos from my designs. I always prefer to make things more personal for people, as for myself.
If I where you I would let your tattooer draw you a design with my design in mind and you can make changes to make it more your thing (hair, outfit, color, accessories).
That way you won't run into people with the same tattoos, cause that would be a bummer.

Giclee (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a reproduction technique that was originally developed in 1989 as a plate-less method of fine art printing. The word Giclée is French for "to spray ".
It is the most advanced digital fine art printmaking technology. No screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various surfaces. The giclée printing process provides better colour accuracy than any other means of
reproduction and has all the subtle tonalities and hues of the original painting.
Among the many museums with giclee prints in their collection are : the British Museum, The Metropolitan Museum New York, Los Angeles County Museum, Museum of Modern Art New York and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
For the Giclee prints on this website 280 gr. Hahnemuhle paper is used. This is a superior paper with a mild grain that resembles the feel and look of original watercolour paper.
Postage
Print orders are send with regular post, priority in a sturdy tube. The shippingcharges ship up to 500gr. This means that for the same amount between 1 and about 8 prints can be shipped.
T-shirts are shipped priority, in a padded envelope to keep the postage costs low and ship only one.

For people who can't make it to my studio in Amsterdam, but still would like a custom design drawn by me, this is possible.
I've been doing this for the past few months for people all over the world who get a tattooartist in their own area to make the tattoo.
I will draw an exclusive design for you by your specifications. You can give me directions by referring to previous artwork I made or other images.
Please email me the specifics about your tattoo idea, also about what you want in there and
definitely not and where you want it on your body. I want to draw something by your guidelines, but I will advise you on what I think will work well or possible other options for your tattoo that will make the design better.
The set rate for this is €230,- for a design that is about 20 x 20 cm (8 x8 In). This still depends on the amount of detail that would go into it, but we will discuss this thoroughly before we start the process. I will then email you a sketch which you can respond to and finally I will send you a line drawing and coloured version per email.

Where on your body would you like the tattoo and what is the approximate size you want it in? (Please send along any images you have that you think will clarify your idea)
*I don’t come up with or decide for you what tattoo image to have, you have to do your homework for this.
I won’t start planning a date for an appointment until I have a clear idea of what you want.
My rate for tattooing is €150,- an hour and the drawing of the design is a set price of €150,-. After you give me the info on your tattoo plan I can give you an idea of how long the tattoo session will be. This won't be exact, as size and details can change once we get to tattooing.
I require a deposit of €150,- before I start the drawing process. This can be done via Paypal.
Please note that I take the liberty to decline an appointment if the design idea is not what I look for to tattoo.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding it is not wise to get tattooed.
I will not tattoo you in this period.
After we set a date:
About a week and a half before your appointment I will draw and email you the sketch, which you can respond to.
Here is the address of the tattoostudio:
Admiraal Tattoo Studio
Marnixstraat 151
1015 VM Amsterdam
At www.admiraaltattoo.com you will find information on how to get there.
